ALT-254’s Partner James was previously appointed by the Airport Authority Hong Kong to manage the design and construction related services for the re-configuration and expansion of the Passenger Terminal Building (PTB) East Hall. The works include two extension structures (approx. 6000 m2 total) and the re-configuration of the existing retail and F&B outlets in the airside departure hall.

The Project objectives are to maximise the commercial, operational and passenger benefits from an Expanded and Reconfigured East Hall, safeguarding future capacity, improving circulation and way-finding, optimising retail potential by creating a flexible retail space that is in harmony with the existing architecture, and all achieved in an environment of safety and operational continuity.

The consultant team included, Airbiz providing dynamic passenger flow analysis, Intelibuild providing 3D BIM modeling and clash analysis, OTP as Concept Architect, Atelier Pacific as Retail Architect, Meinhardt as M&E and Structural consultant and Design2 as Authorized Person and Executive Architect.
